Alan Bertsch

President

Mr. Bertsch serves as the President of Qypsys. He possesses over 20 years of experience in business development and management for technology companies. After attending the University of South Florida and serving in the US Army, he relocated to Los Angeles to perform sales and operations roles for a company that manufactures aircraft cable assemblies and construction rigging equipment. Mr. Bertsch then became the sales manager for a Canadian-based company that designs and manufactures terrestrial satellite communications equipment. His territory and product responsibilities quickly expanded to cover the entire Eastern United States and newly developed cellular base station product lines. These products were sold to microwave and wireless original equipment manufacturers (OEM), satellite broadcast facilities, and systems integrations firms. After eight years in the satellite communications field, Mr. Bertsch transitioned into telecommunications and IT. He was employed by AT&T where he was responsible for sales and total account management to a Fortune 500 company. In 2010, Mr. Bertsch founded Qypsys to help create a market focused on delivering innovative access solutions. In his role as the President of Qypsys, Mr. Bertsch leverages his vast experience and technical knowledge across multiple industries, as well as his substantial network of industry contacts, to guide and position Qypsys as a premier technology deployment firm.

Craig Cuffe

Managing Member

Mr. Cuffe serves as the Managing Member of Qypsys, with a primary role in the formation and implementation of Qypsys’ installation and maintenance capabilities, as well as the marketing of service capabilities.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Florida, Mr. Cuffe assumed various roles in the telecommunications industry. As senior vice president of a national broadband deployment company, he was responsible for managing growth and operations. Under Mr. Cuffe’s leadership, the company grew from 18 employees to 750 employees in a two-year time period. In 2001, Mr. Cuffe leveraged his experience and founded KableLink Communications, LLC, a Tampa-based communications installation and maintenance entity. He has guided the company’s growth efforts, which currently includes operations in multiple geographic markets across the United States. Mr. Cuffe’s experience in forming and managing start-up entities that utilize a large skilled labor force was fundamental to the foundation of Qypsys’s mission.

Pete Nelson

CFO 

Mr. Nelson serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Qypsys. He holds a B.S. in Engineering & Management from Clarkson University. Mr. Nelson worked in the electrical industry as a Sales and Marketing Engineer with Eaton Corporation and then in the telecommunications industry as a regional manager with Acterna Corporation. He focused on the sales and deployment of physical and service layer test equipment to large service providers. Mr. Nelson then attended the University of Florida, where he earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in security analysis and real estate. Mr. Nelson was then employed by SunTrust Bank to manage corporate relationships and was responsible for business development efforts with corporations, alternative lenders, and private equity firms. After banking, Mr. Nelson entered the green industries segment and served as the President of Mother’s Organics, Inc., a large-scale organics recycling concern in Tampa, Florida where he was responsible for building the company since its inception.
