Frost Tower is 25 story building in downtown Fort Worth that has 230,000 square feet of Class A office space and 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Anthracite Realty Partners, the real estate arm of Jetta Operating, developed Frost Tower with the goal of introducing state of the art technology to the building. Jetta Operating hired Gap Solutions to evaluate and design technology solutions to satisfy the building’s needs. Gap Solutions chose Qypsys as the integrator. Qypsys deployed an independent coaxial Public Safety DAS for first responder radios, and a converged solution for over single-mode fiber for both the Passive Optical LAN and Carrier DAS. Since both systems are serviced by single-mode fiber, Qypsys could deploy a simple, scalable network architecture, which offers the tremendous reach and capacity of single-mode fiber, while also requiring much less space that if the systems had been independent and traditional. The Corning ONE and Corning SDN systems were selected, along with Corning fiber optical cable and passive materials.
