As Marriott planned the renovation, expansion, and re-branding of the Marriott Marquis in Marco Island, they looked to leverage the flexibility and future-readiness of a deep fiber infrastructure. Qypsys helped with the design and implementation of a converged network to serve guest room requirements as well as cellular enhancement in the new Lanai tower addition. Using Corning’s power and fiber solutions to support a Corning ONE DAS and Tellabs Optical LAN, the property is able to meet today’s network demands while providing the capacity to support next generation WiFi and 5G requirements.
